Nick Mellios, Chief Executive, Co-Founder
Nick Mellios is responsible for overall technical and strategic management and brings a broad background in technology and business development to his lead role at Yummy. Nick has been responsible for raising financing and assembling the technical team to build Yummy’s On-Demand Application platform. Nick also leads business development efforts negotiating agreements with publishers, developers and broadband service providers.
Prior to Yummy, Nick was the Director of Marketing and Sales for Ensemble Systems where he led the marketing and sales efforts for Ensemble's software development tools. Prior to Ensemble, he was Business Manager at Hughes Aircraft in the New Business Development group where he was the financial lead in bidding for large-scale international air traffic control contracts. Nick obtained an academic and sports scholarship to the University of British Columbia where he obtained a BSc in Mathematics and an MBA.
Chris Astolfo, Vice President, Business Development
Chris Astolfo’s chief responsibilities include the aggregation of quality game content for Yummy services as well as working with Yummy distribution partners to develop, deploy, incubate, and finally optimize their Yummy Games services. Chris was schooled at the University of Toronto in Economic Strategy and Mathematics and he brings to Yummy, 12 years of Games Industry experience. Previously, Chris was responsible for Bell Canada’s Games on Demand Platform and his team launched a children’s Games on Demand product as well as a more mainstream games on demand service. Chris’ greatest strengths are in sales channel and product development where he provides professional consultation to Yummy partners who wish to provide Telco/Cable Co. billing as well as bundled offers delivered through direct marketing and direct sales channel activities.
Christopher Hennebery, Vice President of Software Distribution
Christopher Hennebery manages the Shield product lines (GameShield and SoftwareShield) at Yummy Interactive. Christopher has extensive experience in entrepreneurship and ebusiness development. In the last 15 years Christopher has managed his own consulting firm and built one of the largest community-based sports associations in Canada. Christopher has an extended background in electronic software distribution and has held director positions at Protexis Inc. and ACD Systems. At both of these organizations Christopher was responsible for building online distribution channels for games and software and for exploring new business models in digital distribution. At Yummy Christopher continues down this path by expanding the reach of the Shield product line and architecting new revenue streams that leverage Yummy's intellectual property. Christopher has an MBA in IT Management and has sat on several boards including the International Internet Marketing Association.
Tara Gregg, Director of Marketing
Tara Gregg is responsible for marketing and communications. She brings a background in e-commerce and publishing to the development of product and services at Yummy. Prior to Yummy, Tara worked as Project Manager for Antisense Studios, a web development company focusing on solutions for scientific and academic organizations. As Calendar Coordinator at the University of British Columbia, she coordinated the annual program and calendar publications, as well as managing course and program data for the university. She also worked as Account and Marketing Manager at E-xact Transactions, a financial transaction processing company, where she was involved in sales, PR, and customer support. Tara holds a BA from University of British Columbia and Post Baccalaureate (Hons) in Communications from Simon Fraser University.
Chris Ruck, Co-Founder, Inventor
Chris Ruck led Yummy’s product development effort for seven years and was responsible for the development of multiple content delivery and subscription management solutions. Prior to joining Yummy, Chris was the National Director of Information Systems at Look Communications (formerly Internet Direct), one of the largest Internet providers in Canada. At Look Communications Chris designed, developed and managed the e-commerce billing system which handled approximately 200,000 monthly subscribers. Chris also acted as the National IT Manager for Danzas Transport, an international freight forwarding and customs clearing company. Chris has more than 10 years of experience specializing in architecting and deploying billing systems, and brings 20 years of development and IT management experience to his position.
Ian Winter, Chief Operating Officer
Ian Winter is responsible for financial management, product management, human resources, and day-to-day operations. Prior to joining Yummy, Ian served as Corporate Banking Associate with Scotia Capital (Scotiabank’s Investment & Corporate Banking Division) where he structured and managed a diverse portfolio of credits, ranging from syndicated loans to club deals and bi-lateral facilities. Since 1999, Ian has also fulfilled the role of Area Expert in Strategic Management, Change Management, and Leadership at British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). He is a member of the faculty in Part-Time Studies within the School of Business. Ian holds a BA (Honours) in Economics from Queen’s University and an MBA from the University of British Columbia.
